What do I need to join?
When applying for membership you will be asked for proof of ID, proof of address and proof of your PPS Number, for example a current passport and recent utility bill. You will also be asked to supply your address Eircode. There is an entrance fee of €1.20. You will need to hold a minimum savings of €5.00 to retain your account.
(Please Note, members under 16 need their full birth certificate and proof of their PPS number. If the member under 16 cannot provide proof of address as listed below in their own name, then proof of address in a parent’s or guardian’s name will be required)

Establishing identity – post January 2004 (consists of the prospective members name, address and tax identification number (TIN))
Prospective new members should provide proof of:
Identity
- Current Valid Passport
- Current Valid Drivers Licence
Tax Identity Number (TIN)
- Official Documents issued by the Tax Authorities
- Tax Residence Certificate issued by the Revenue Commissioners
Residence
- Current Household Bill (Dated within the previous 3 months)
Public Services Card cannot be accepted as proof of ID or proof of PPS Number.
Wicklow and District Credit Union Ltd cannot accept the New Public Services Card (PSC) for members Photo ID or PSN. Current legislation allows for the card to be used solely for the purposes of accessing public services. The Department of Social Protection have stated that the PSC is not a national identity card and that bodies not specified in the legislation may not request the PSC and may not use it in any transactions, to do so is an offence.
